Avoiding the Rain {Open} « Thread Started on Nov 10, 2007, 10:55pm »
Pansy was walking down the streets of Hogwarts. She was wearing muggle clothes. Pansy always wore muggle clothes. She hates Wizards robes, they are uncomfortable to her. Pansy mainly wore jeans. She barely ever wore sweatpants or anything of that nature, except to bed. Pansy didn't wear gowns to bed. She usually wore pants. This was because Pansy never really wore dresses or skirts. The only time she wore them was when she had some formal thing to go to. If she had to dress up, she would. But, she won't dress up everyday.
The reason Pansy was walking around Hogsmeade was because she was simply tired of being stuck in the muggy castle. It had rained just a few minutes before she decided to come to Hogsmeade, so the air was thick. Being in Hogwarts after it rains is like being in a pair of damp jeans; uncomfortable. When it rains, the place feels cold, which gives it a dampish feeling. To Pansy, that is extremely uncomfortable, especially if in the Dungeons.
As she was walking, Pansy felt a bit of wetness fall upon her cheek. She looked up, and more came. Great. Rain. As the time went on, more and more rain fell. Pansy started running toward town (By now, she was out near that one fence where you can see the Shrieking Shack) as fast as she could. She looked around and bolted into the first semi-crowded place she could go. By the time she reached the place, she was drenched.
Pansy looked around the pub. This was odd. The Three Broomsticks wasn't very crowded. Usually, it wasn't the most crowded place in Hogsmeade, but it was pretty darn close. Usually Honeydukes is the crowdest, and it still is. But, The Three Broomsticks has close to the same amount of customers, with the exception of today. Shrugging, Pansy walked over to a table for two and sat down. She ordered a butterbeer, her favorite drink, and sat there in silence, scanning the room for someone she knows every once in awhile.
Once Pansy's butterbeer arrived, she took small sips of it, considering it was very hot, and started to read Witch Weekly. She bought it at the one place where you can buy magazines while she was here. Nothing exciting has happened yet. No celebrity breakups or get togethers. Pansy looked up again, scanning the room one more time, before looking back down toward her magazine to read an article.

Juliet smiled as she looked up, feeling raindrops land on her nose. Smiling softly, she stood up from where she was sitting under the immobilized Whomping Willow and started making her way to Hogsmeade, seeing the figure of her friend Pansy. She ran into the Three Broomsticks, her light pink tank-top now sticking to her slim body. She walked over to the bar and ordered a butterbeer, paid for it, and carried the drink to the table where Pansy was. "Hey Pans," She said, sitting down across from her.

Hearing her name, Pansy looked up to see her friend Juliet. "Hey!" She said with a smile. Juliet was probably the most awesome Hufflepuff you would over meet. Her and Cedic Diggory. He was pretty cool as well. But, unfortunatly, he is deceased. So, Juliet is now the only aweosme Hufflepuff you will ever meet. "What brings you here?" She asked, closing the magazine. That one was a drag. There was nothing good in it.

"What's up?" Juliet asked, the light glinting off her own engagement ring and she sighed slightly. She currently had mixed feelings toward Blaise. She knew all her old feelings for him were coming back, but she also was still hurt by the way he had just stopped being her friend. Pansy had never done that, and ended their friendship because she was put into Hufflepuff. She never cared. "Not much...trying to escape wedding plans," She said, rolling her eyes.

"Eh...Nothing." Pansy replied. "Just trying to find something to occupy-..." She had cut herself off when she looked at Juliet's left hand. "You're getting married?" She asked. Pansy hadn't heard anything about this. "To whom?" A grin started to form across her lips. "This is amazing!" How come no one told her about this. Usually, she has heard it from people in the corridors or someone would tell her the happenings in the school, but no one mentioned this while around her.

Juliet sighed, shaking her head. "Not so amazing. I'm marrying my childhood crush and best friend who started hating me the moment I was sorted into Hufflepuff. It's an arranged marriage. To Blaise," She said with a small sigh. "But...when I kissed him, it was like all my old feelings for him came back," She bit her lip. "But he still hurt me when he just dropped me as a friend," She added. "And...I don't know...I'm still attracted to him...after all, I did sleep with him the other day..." She trailed off.

"Well, Blaise isn't bad. Maybe since he is supposed to marry you, you two will become closer again and live happily ever after." Pansy was always optimistic. Okay, not always. But, most of the time she was. "You slept with him?!" Pansy asked. "Well, then. I think all the time you guys lost will be made up then. Pretty soon, it'll be like you were never sorted into Hufflepuff. Not only because you slept with him..." She added quickly. "Because you two are getting married."

"Yeah...I did. And he was good too," She said with a small smirk. "Pansy...I can feel it. I'm back in love with him," She sighed, running a hand through her hair. "I mean...I guess that's a good thing. But I don't want to be in love with my husband if he doesn't feel the same way," She said, banging her head down on the table. She looked back up at Pansy and sighed again. "I need something stronger," She muttered, flicking her wand and her drink instantly became firewhiskey.

A small smirk started to form on Pansy's lips. "I'm sure he will love you back in time." There she goes with that optimism again. The thing is though, she believed what she was telling Juliet. She believed Blaise would come over himself. Pansy has known Blaise for awhile, and even though there were a few things she still didn't know about him, she had a very good, strong feeling that he would come over himself and love Juliet back, no matter what house she's in; he will look past that and at what is on the inside, not at what house she was in during seven short years of her life.
